These cards are great because they are unique. It is sometimes a challenge to come up with a unique topic to get kids to talk, but these cards will stimulate conversations that you wouldn't normally think about. The kids love them. They are great for speech and/or language samples, getting to know kids, and therapy. I even use them to have students interview other people in the building when practicing specific objectives. In addition, they are useful for students who are on the spectrum of Autism / Aspergers and are trying to learn and improve social skills / pragmatics. Finally, I think that they are useful to incorporate into writing prompts for almost any age group.
