These conversation cards can be used in
several different ways…
Practice asking and answering questions
while building a classroom community. It’s
important for students to show interest in
one another and develop listening skills while
their peers are speaking.
Play an icebreaker game: Students pick a
card and rotate through the class asking
others their question.
As Writing Center task cards. Put these
cards in a writing center and the students
can begin writing their answers to the
questions and topics on the cards.
Put them on a ring clip and place them in an
accessible area of the room for students to
choose upon finishing their work early.
