Converting Fractions, Decimals & Percents ZOMBIE BOARD GAME

In this game, students will change between representations of rational numbers as they encounter obstacles on a mission to the mall to retrieve zombie-fighting resources.

During gameplay, students will be directed to pick up cards that give positive and negative scenarios that affect their health, energy and fuel levels. Players will keep an ongoing tally of these levels by converting between fractions, decimals, and/or percents to add and subtract rational numbers.

Example Question: You have 6 1/2 hearts of health. You draw a card that reads: "You trip over a rock & fall & scrape your knee. Your HEALTH DECREASES by 37.5% of a heart." You now have (6 1/2) - (37.5%) = 6 1/8 hearts

At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins!

And students have completed a fraction-decimal-percent conversion assessment.

• 1 die per group
• 4 game pieces per group (ex. erasers, coins, paper clips)
• To print resources in color OR black & white
• To cut out Event & Resource Cards
