This Differentiated Mystery Picture Color Activity: Converting Units of Measurement (Dimensional Analysis) is a fun worksheet that unlocks a secret picture once students complete the problems! Every correct answer provides a clue to color the grid and reveal a mystery image. There are more clues than there are problems, so students must solve ALL problems to determine which clues are the correct clues.

Space is provided for students to show work, because I like to see my students work :) and have opportunities for feedback.

Skill: Students will convert units of measurement, including one-step, multi-step, dimensional analysis problems, and word problems.

Differentiation: The activity is tiered into 2 levels of difficulty. Perfect for the inclusive classroom! Both tiers of difficulty result in the same picture. The harder set has 26 problems and is marked with a star, the easier set has 15 problems and is marked with a smiley face.

CCSS.HSN.A.Q.1 Use units as a way to understand problems and to guide the solution of multi-step problems; choose and interpret units consistently in formulas.
