This is an awesome hands on way to assess landforms! Students receive a chocolate chip cookie and then observe it to identify and get creative finding examples of Landforms! They can even take a small bite to create a gulf, or peninsula! Students have a great time while getting creative and showcasing their mastery of landforms! They draw a map and give a name to their island and label at least 10 landforms they identify! They get creative with the names: examples: Chocolate Chip Mountain, Gooey Run River, Mouth Watering Mountain Range, Sugar Plateau (just to name a few) Then they add color, etc. it makes a fabulous display! When they finish they can eat their cookie!
