Product Description
This Cookie Jar Measurement and Fraction Gift project is a great way for upper elementary students to have some hands-on experience using fractions and measurements with a real world activity. Students are given the task of making a gift of dry cookie ingredients for Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies to give to a loved one (attached are the rest of the directions to finish off the cookies at home). This project would work well as a whole class assignment, small group task, or as a math center. It would be a great project to have students do for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, or just for fun! I have included gift tags for various occasions, so you have a variety to choose from. I have also included 2 donation letters (if needed), one for if you choose to use Mason jars and another if you choose to go the more inexpensive route and use Ziploc bags. Below is a table of contents of what is included, but also be sure to check out my preview for a more in depth look at the project.
