Resource: Cookie Unit Interdisciplinary, skills in entrepreneurship
Project Based learning encouraging students in entrepreneurship.
Students love baked goods. Cookies are the most popular sale at lunch. This assessment lets students unleash their inner pastry chef and inner business savvy as they use social media to promote their product.
We had success with this unit with our special needs group, our gifted and talented group as well as our enrichment group. We had high engagement and success with all three.
The unit is adaptable and is even more fun when you give students templates for transfomers, minions or teddy bears.
Coloured icing is a must, watch students light up when they decorate their own cookies with themes from their favourite films. Popping candy is optional but adds the the theatrical presentation of their creations.
