This bundle has 8 different math and literacy center geared towards preschool aged children. Below you will find a description of each activity that is included.
Build a Cookie Jar Beginning Sounds and Alphabet:
What better way to get your children working on letters and beginning sounds than with cookies?! Children will choose a cookie jar with a letter. They will find two cookies: one with a capital letter and one with a lowercase letter. There are also two more cookies that have pictures with the beginning sound. This can be differentiated for your children by deciding whether or not to use the beginning sound cookies. There are also worksheets included to work on matching capital and lowercase letters as well as beginning sounds.
Build a Cookie Jar Number Sense:
What better way to get your children working on their numbers than with cookies?! Children will pick a cookie jar with a number and then match a total of four cookies to that jar. The cookies for each number have a numeral, the word, a dice, and a ten frame. This includes numbers 1-10. There are also 2 worksheets at the end which match dice to numbers.
Milk and Cookie Opposites:
This activity is perfect for working on opposites. Children will choose a glass of milk and find the cookie with the opposite and match them. There are 15 different opposites included.
Cookie ABC Match:
This activity is perfect for working on letter recognition. Children will choose a glass of milk with a capital letter and match it to a cookie with a lowercase letter. This would be great for a pocket chart activity.
This center is great for working on fine motor control. Print and laminate the cards. Children can then use a dry erase marker to trace the dotted lines. There are 12 cards included.
Cookie Math Mats:
Children can use these math mats for counting, number recognition and number formation. Use play dough to make the large number to the left of the picture for developing fine motor skills. Trace the numbers at the bottom of the page with dry erase markers to help children learn how to make each number. Use any math manipulative for these mats. This includes mats for numbers 1-10.
Cookies Count and Clip:
These count and clip cards are great for a quick and easy math center. Children just count the number of cookies in the jar and clip the number at the bottom. These can be made self correcting by placing a sticker or a mark on the back of the card behind the correct number. This set is for numbers 0-10.
Milk and Cookies Number Match:
This milk and cookies activity is perfect for working on counting. Children will count the number of chocolate chips in their cookie and find the glass of milk that has the matching number.
