This simple and straightforward power point presentation introduces and reinforces the basics of cooking using measuring utensils. It explains each utensil and the increments they measure. It also allows for practice reading and understanding the use of each. This is a great introductory lesson to do with your group prior to having those ingredients on the table.
Having them practice measuring along with the power point using water and/or rice is a great way to support good scooping, coordination, and neatness, and of course... fractions.
