The first page in this packet can be used a poster in each of your classroom’s kitchens. Color code this sheet as appropriate for your classroom arrangement. I recommend laminating if you are going to use it for this purpose.
The first page of this packet can be displayed for instructional purposes on an Elmo, overhead projector, SmartBoard, or enlarged into poster size. If you would like to enlarge the first page, please check with your local education agency or printing companies.
Page one of this packet can also be cut apart on the lines and used as a word sorting activity. Students can do this independently or in groups. If records of the activity are needed for grading or sharing purposes, take photographs of the completed sorts.
Students may also appreciate their own personal copies of page one for studying purposes or to display in their own homes.
Page two of this packet can be used as a pretest, a note taking sheet, as an assignment, or as an assessment. Additionally, it can be used to record the word sort activity from above.
If you have other ingredients to add to the lists while doing the word sort activity, use page two to create these.
This sheet is also useful in instructing students with transition level IEPs or for use in homeschool programs.
