Product Description
Cool bridges presents some of the world's science, technology, engineering and mathematics wonders that engages students in a rigorous activity which is very relevant to the community. The activity is project-based implying that each student in a group will assume a real world responsibility. Students will research, read, compile notes, create facts map, and use a matrix, build a bridge manually or virtually and create a presentation.

Includes rubrics for the structure and presentation.


Some of the standards covered are:
Grade level: 6-8
*Subject area: physical science
Standard: Understands motion and the principles that explain it.
Benchmarks: Understands effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on an object's motion
Grade level: 6-8, 9-12
*Subject area: science and engineering
Standard: Understands the scientific enterprise.
Benchmark 6-8: Knows that people of all backgrounds and with diverse interests, talents, qualities, and motivations engage in fields of science and engineering; some of these people work in teams and others work alone, but all communicate extensively with others.
