Product Description
This is a poster that can be placed in a quiet area of your classroom to help a student cool down and take a brain break.

The poster includes both a description and visual aid for each calming exercise.

A student can choose one activity to complete independently before returning to the whole group ready to learn.

The first option is taking 5 deep breaths tracing your finger along your opposite open hand. Inhale as you trace up and exhale as you trace down. It helps the students slow down as they breathe.

The second option is to concentrate on a sand timer. A therapeutic strategy that works very well!

The next choice is to put your head down in child's pose and breathe slowly.

The next option is to lay down on your back and put your legs in the air. When your legs are in the air your central nervous system calms down to relieve stress.

The last option is to write or draw how you are feeling.

Any of these cooling activities will calm a student down effectively!
