These are the greatest tools in my classroom! They make cooperative learning so easy. I printed them on bright cardstock, laminated them, and then used Velcro dots to attach them to students' desks to make for easy switching around when we change seats.
The desks in my room are set up in groups of 4 or 5. Here is how I use them:
-Call one number to get a volunteer from each table
-Assign table jobs based on numbers
-Quick Think-Pair-Share partners (A and B, or A and A/B and B)
-Divide the class into groups easily (2 groups- A's and B's, or group by numbers
-These go great with Kagan strategies!
