The Cooperative Learning Spinner is designed to encourage students to work together. In a typical classroom there is only one teacher; however, there are 18-30 students. Enrich your classroom activities by encouraging students to help one another.
How to use the Cooperative Learning Spinner:
*Prior to using the Cooperative Learning Spinner, divide students into 2-6 groups. At each group, students should also be given a number from 1-6.
*Tell your students you will be spinning the spinner at the end of each class (or subject).
*Spin the spinner first to locate a group. Then, spin the spinner a second time to pinpoint the student within the group.
*Once you have located the student, you will ask that child, a question from the lesson.
*If he/she gets it correct, his/her entire group gets a reward.
*Tell them they are rewarded because they worked together to make sure everyone in their group knows the information in the lesson.
*Reward suggestions: sticker, stamp, clipping up, candy, etc. You know your students.
