Thank you for your feedback! Based on your suggestions, I've made the following changes for this version (version 2):
1. You can now choose between EASY, MEDIUM, and HARD modes. For easy mode there are no gaps between hits. For medium mode there are gaps but the hits are evenly spaced. For hard mode, hits are randomly spaced.
2. There's now a button that will reveal/hide submarines. You can use this as another tool for hints to students or you can reveal the submarine once students make 3 hits (which means they've sunk the submarine).
3. Flames still move, but the lag is gone.

Thank you for your support!
Are your students not able to remember how to graph ordered pairs? Want a fun way to teach your students how to plot x- and y-coordinates? Try this interactive PowerPoint game!
With this PowerPoint game, you can model for your students how to graph (X,Y) ordered pairs by modeling the direction of each coordinate on the axes. Students will see the value of having a coordinate plane or Cartesian system as they try to sink a hidden submarine ship.
As the captain you are in control of how much support you give your crew (your students). You can help them by showing what quadrant the hidden sub is in, and even use radar to further narrow it down.
