Enjoy this 4-quadrant coordinate grid twist to the classic game of Battleship.
No materials are required to play this version.
Fold the coordinate grid sheet along the dotted line. Then, place the sheet inside a textbook or folder to hide ships during gameplay.
If needed, refer to the "Sample" sheet as directions are read.
By plotting points, each player should strategically place five ships from the "Fleet of Ships" into the "My Ships" coordinate grid (bottom grid). The points may be placed vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally.
Players take turns calling ordered pairs to their opponents. Opponents will reply accordingly with "HIT" or "MISS"... Once a ship is sunk, the opponent must announce that the ship has been sunk so that the calling player can cross the ship off of the "Fleet of Ships" list. Players who call out ordered pairs record their hits and misses in the upper coordinate grid, labeled "Enemy Ships". The opponents who are answering also record their answers in the BOTTOM grid of their own sheet. As such, both players will be keeping track of all calls and answers on their own sheets.
The player who sinks all of the opponent's ships first wins the game.
