This activity can be done as a regular partner practice or used as part of math centers. It is an abbreviated version of the beloved "Battleship" game in which partners plot "ships" within any of the four quadrants of a coordinate plane. They then take turns guessing their partner's ships' locations and are told whether they have "hit" or "missed." The specific directions, along with an example, are all included on the page. The students enjoy the competitive game while getting extra practice locating and naming coordinates within all four quadrants.
