Your students will enjoy graphing on the coordinate grid as they draw miniature pictures that represent the seasons! I created this when some of my students were getting confused as they graphed points that were then supposed to connect together to form a picture. I saw that they needed to take a step back and simply practice graphing without any worries about linking them together in order.
In this activity, the students plot points and draw a miniature picture with each one. When they finish, there will be four pictures in each quadrant, and each set of pictures will represent one season. Students will know that they have graphed the pictures in the correct quadrants if they have matching season sets. Four ordered pairs don't match any season and will be graphed on the x- or y-axis.
