Description

Students can always use more practice when it comes to conjunctions! In this product, you will find one note sheet that can be used as a minilesson, a review, or a reference sheet for students. Also included are three different worksheets that will help students to practice and/or review coordinating conjunctions.

With worksheet one, students will identify coordinating conjunctions (FANBOYS) in sentences and practice combining two complete sentences using a conjunction and a comma.

With worksheet two, students will edit the commas in sentences that contain coordinating conjunctions, choose the conjunction that best links two thoughts together, and rewrite compound sentences using correctly placed commas.

With worksheet three, students are given four comma rules for coordinating conjunctions (these rules are explained as part of the note/reference sheet). Then, students are asked to apply that comma rule by creating a sentence of their own and correctly punctuating it.

The sentences on these worksheets are interesting, so students will be engaged with the content as they practice the required skills. Answer keys are included!

Please note that this product is also available as part of a larger
