Description

Cootie Catchers are a fun and interactive way to learn the letters and sounds in the alphabet. My own students love cootie catchers, and I know yours will too. You'll receive 26 alphabet cootie catcher templates in black and white to save you ink.

--Benefits of Cootie Catchers--

  • Builds phonemic awareness
  • Increases letter recognition and sound-symbol relationships
  • Great for fine motor development
  • Engaging, cooperative learning activity
  • Work on spelling strategies

--Product Notes--

The outside flaps of the cootie catcher have pictures which begin with that corresponding letter in the alphabet. The inside pictures have the word with it to practice saying the sounds of the letters and spelling it. I’ve made every effort to make sure the words on the inside flaps were either CVC words or words with simple blends. The only letter that proved challenging was Q.
