Do you have a student with a short fuse? Do they seem to get annoyed by students around them for silly reasons? Or do you have students who are justly annoyed but need to learn how to deal with it? This lesson gives some basic insight into some very simple and doable coping mechanisms. It is an overview of 8 commonly suggested ways to deal with bothersome people. The lesson gives many concrete examples (thought and speech bubbles; GIFs of facial expressions). By putting the lesson into the perspective that the “other person” is “annoying”, some kids respond much better than if we tell them that it is them that need to learn to change or just ignore (although ignoring is one of the ways we teach!).
