PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Positive affirmations are a great way to teach students to use the coping skill of positive self-talk.

Here are a few of the activities you can do with these affirmations:

I “CAN” Can: Keep affirmations in a decorative can or container. Use the affirmations to identify what they student has control over.

Self-Talk Prompts: Have the child select three affirmations to say to themselves three times a day for one week. Use the affirmation log to track progress. Use the affirmation sort worksheet to help select affirmations that I right for the student.

Discussion Prompts: Use each of the affirmations to discuss personal responsibility, self-control, and positive attitude.

Thought Replacement: Select positive affirmations to replace negative self-talk. Example: I can’t do anything right -> I try to learn from my mistakes.
