Product Description
Directions:
This unit is meant to be used as a way to introduce a mini-lesson focusing on
grammar*. The specific target of this lesson is on copular verbs (actions). Students often have trouble with these verbs, frequently omitting them completely from utterances (e.g. “She running.”) This packet includes activities to introduce, practice and assess generalization of the targets. The focus is on explicitly teaching the language rules regarding copular verbs, specifically actions (e.g. is running, is playing, is jumping). Additionally, these activities/materials could be adapted to increase practice opportunities. Included you will find:

Directions (pg. 3-5)
Picture Scene (pg. 6)
Visual Cue Sheets/Mats (pg. 7-8)
Pre-Activity Story (pg. 9-24)
Practice Activity (pg. 25-29)
Make a Picture Scene (pg. 30-33)
Rule Breaker Visual Cue Sheet/Mat (pg. 34)
Is/Are/Am Game (pg. 35-36)
