I tried shrinking traditional Cornell Notes templates to use in composition books, but the lines were so tiny that it seemed impractical, especially if students were going to return to the notes to organize and mark them in various ways.
This template is designed using page proportions that will fit easily into a composition book and still have lines large enough to take legible notes. It is meant to help train students how to set up their composition book pages for Cornell notes for focused notetaking activities.
Because fewer notes fit on each page, I include a summary spot at the end of page 2. However, the template is editable, so you can adjust as needed.
I copy these at approximately 73%, and the two pages will fit onto one 8.5" x 14" legal sized page.
