This role play activity allows students to step into the shoes of a sous chef who must use count and non-count nouns to explain what is and is not in the kitchen. The chef and head chef must then work together to determine a new evening meal. The activity includes a role play planning sheet, teacher instructions, and a sample conversation. This activity is appropriate for High Beginning/Low Intermediate NRS or A2 in the Common European Framework. It works well with Side by Side 2 Unit 2-3.
