This "Valentine's Party" has students having fun by writing festive vocabulary for the February holiday; however, it is not a traditional "Write the Room" file. Your students will be counting items in ten frames, too! This is a cross-curricular game that uses words and pictures for writing, but also works on counting and writing numbers in the teens. Fun and learning at the same time!
I created two sets of the same game, one version being an “ink saving” set. Choose the version that works for you, then print, laminate and cut the picture pages into quarters, (keeping the words with the ten frames); then post around the room. Make copies of the student recording sheets. Students count then write the number in the smaller blank of the recording sheet. Then they write the name of the objects in the larger blank.
This is very similar to a Winter version that I made, except that this one uses the Valentine's theme and everything is PINK and RED (my two favorite colors!!). See my other products at my TPT store: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Learning-Little-Ones.
