Count by 10’s or 5’s Fall Theme Treasure Reports

This FREE counting and grouping activity for kindergarten and first grade may be completed with the whole class (typically with partners), a small group, or as an independent station. I find many students benefit from counting and grouping by tens or by fives on multiple occasions using different treasures. Treasures are any small manipulative such as erasers, beads, cereal, or small candy. Materials I have found for fall by trolling fabric and craft stores include acrylic apple, leaf, and pumpkin fillers; fall pom-poms; and pumpkin buttons.
