Do your kids even have some extra energy to burn? This is the perfect classroom solution to kids with too many wiggles. As you play this game, kids will practice skills and get some physical activity in. This version of the game features syllables. Students must count how many syllables are in each word. You can choose for your class to show the number of syllables with their fingers, kids can break each word into syllables on white boards, or you can go around the room giving each student a turn. There are 20 syllable slides. Click the slide to see a hand appear showing the number of syllables in the word. Click again and the word is revealed broken into syllables. As you play, the game is interrupted for physical challenges. Kids get up to jog in place, do jumping jacks, and more. There are directions for how to do the exercises and information about how they benefit the body. Animated timers and music add to the fun! At the end, there is a bonus "Move it Marathon". Students must do each workout for 10 seconds. This is a great way for our kids to practice skills, burn some energy, and help them get fit. This is also great for a day when weather does not allow you to go outside.
I have lots of other Move It activities available in a variety of reading and math skills. More games are added all the time. Follow me for updates!
