Description

This is an easy to prepare partner activity for preschool and kindergarten that uses dice and counters to focus on subitizing, counting objects with one-to-one correspondence to 20, 30, or 40, and comparing quantities. It is suitable for an independent math station or as an intervention or resource activity. You can use actual candy corn, or yellow/ orange buttons, pom-poms, or gems as counters. The number grid to 40 can be used as a review or as a support to complete the activity. I have included vocabulary/ concept cards for comparing that can be placed by the corresponding grid during play. More advanced or older students can complete the comparison worksheet.

Print and laminate your selected pages. Cut the vocabulary/ concept cards. Add dice, counters, and kids; and you’re all set!
