I know that my students have already started the count down of how many Monday's are left!!
I wanted to change their perspective a little bit and help them reframe their countdown! Each day I am displaying a different slide in our classroom (either a printed version for a small countdown bulletin board or on my smart t.v) that will help them reframe their thinking and guide our morning meeting's discussion of how we could make the day more special, make more amazing memories, and make a difference!
I've also included response pages that you could use each day as morning work! There are two versions of these- a lined/written response as well as an open space for students that are able to draw their responses. I plan to have the countdown of the day displayed and then they will complete the matching written response as an action plan.
Included in this resource are the following:
Three different colors themes to choose from
Three different expressions in each color saying:
"__ days left to make amazing memories"
"__ days left to make a difference"
"__ days left to make it special"
Two different versions of written responses/action plans that match each countdown.
I hope these helps guide your classroom to continue viewing school as a special place to be- even in the midst of the end of year craziness!
