As the days get shorter and the STAAR gets closer it seems to be harder and harder to find materials that will not stress the poor students out at the third grade level for reading but still will keep their minds fresh and prepared. This attached daily drill includes context clues, inferencing, character traits, main idea, drawing conclusions, prefixes, suffixes, synonyms, antonyms and more that are predicted to be on the Texas STAAR. Due to the fact that this is only the second year and there are limited materials I had to create this from what I have been told and what I have gleamed from materials my students have been tested. It's great for second grade introductory practice, third grade review or fourth grade catch up.
You can do one, two, three or four or as many as you want daily thus determining how much practice your kids get without straining their already stressed brains in this time before the testing.
