In the wake of the increasing tension and violence between the African American community and law enforcement, this in the interactive PowerPoint Presentation I developed to coincide with the Interactive Activity Packet for Week 1 of the Counter-cultural Revolution Unit. The unit has been created to draw comparisons between the 1960's counter-cultural movement to Black Lives Matter of today. Week 1 is laying the groundwork with the 1960s.
Our Driving Question For The Unit:
How can we, as living Historians, show future generations that important social change can happen in our country through counter-cultural movements?
This PPT will guide you through each of the activities in the order of the packet. The PPT has hyperlinks to video clips, songs, and any other resource you may need to complete this weekly unit. This is essentially the ANSWER KEY to the Interactive Packet: Week 1. This was developed for a 75 minute period, for a 4-day week. It can absolutely be modified to extend to 5-7 days for shorter periods.
