These English and Spanish number flashcards are incredibly useful in so many ways. This packet includes all numbers from 0-120 in numeral form and in word form (English and Spanish). It also includes a list of activity suggestions and math center game suggestions (and how to play).
They are common core aligned, colorful, easy to read, and so much fun to use in your classroom. They are also ready to simply print and cut out - no prep needed!
Games and Activities (great for math centers!) -
Go Fish (for 2, 3, or 4 players)
Print out two sets of cards (or one of each)., then deal 5 cards to each player.
Mix the rest of the cards up, and place them face down in a “pond” on the table.
Kids take turns asking each other for a specific number. Ex: Kim, do you have a two?
If that student has the matching #, then s/he gives him/her the card. If s/he does not, s/he says “go fish” and the child takes a card from the pond.
Then, the next child has a turn to ask someone for a specific number.
The game ends when all of the cards have been matched.
The player with the most cards wins!
Greater Than/Less Than Math Center
Teacher puts 4 paper plates. Teacher puts ONE number on the middle plate and puts “greater than”, “less than”, and “equal to” on the other plates.
Kids sort the number cards into the “greater than:”, less than”, or “equal to” categories.
If kids finish early, they can make a chart and write these #s in their math journal.
Memory (you can play with the numerals or word cards)
Print out two sets of number cards (or one set of each type of card), mix them up, and place them in rows face down.
One child flips over two cards.
If they match, s/he keeps both cards. If they don’t match, then the child puts the cards back face down.
The next student takes a turn.
The game is over when all of the cards have been matched.
The player with the most matches wins!
I’m Thinking Of A Number…
Teacher (or student) picks a card and says “I’m Thinking of a Number…”
Teacher (or student) describes the number.
Ex: I am larger than 12, but I’m smaller than 14. What am I? 13
Ex: I have 2 tens and 5 ones. What am I? 25
Kids guess the number.
Kids can ask the teacher/student questions, ex. Is it larger than 51? Is it less than 76?
The child who guesses the number correctly gets to keep the card.
The player with the most cards wins!
Putting Numbers in Order (good as a pocket chart center!)
Print out the set of numbers you want your students to work with.
Mix them up, and kids then put them in order (smallest to largest OR largest to smallest)
For early finishers, they can write the numbers in order in their math journals.
