UPDATED with PowerPoint Presentation
This resource relates to counting 1 to 10.
Children learn to read numerals 1 to 10 and to count objects to 10 and to match numbers that are the same.
The resource consists of a 40 Slide PowerPoint Presentation divided into sections.
-First section - Slides 1 to 10: as each number appears the cars float in to match the numeral.
- Second section: Just the numbers appear which the children read aloud from 1 to 10
- Final section: Students count how many cars in the toy boxes. The answer appears after each slide.
Consolidation: Worksheets and Cut and Paste Activities
Worksheets (4 pages) - Students add up the cars in Hannah's toy box and write the answer.
Activity 1 - Students match the cars with the same number and then colour the cars the same colour. Please see example in preview.
Activity 2 - Students read the number on Tom's toy box (number recognition) and then count and cut out the same number of cars to stick onto the toy boxes.
Extension opportunity: Children can sort the cars into different colours and label the groups.
