Exploring numbers 0-20

Directions: (Provides enough for 24 students to participate)

•Pair children and give each pair a dry erase marker and eraser.
•Place each counting card (laminated) in a logical path around the room.
•Model for children your expectations for the activity. (Ex: what to do with each card, what do when finished each card, how to move around the path, etc)
•Position each pair at one of the cards on the path.
•Start a timer for about 2 minutes and have children complete the task on the card in front of them.
•When the timer dings have children erase their work on the card.
•Have children wait for the OK before progressing to the next card on the path. It usually works best if all children move at the same time!
•Move around the room checking children’s work as they go.
•Have FUN! 
