Description
Counting coins can be a tricky skill to learn, but it’s such an important one! This pack of activities was created for primary students to practice the important skill of counting pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, the most commonly used coins in everyday life.
The activities in this unit are hands-on and engaging. They can be used during whole group instruction or in a whole group setting; or they could be used with a small group, or even in a math center. Best of all, you can easily use them to differentiate and meet the needs of your students.
Throughout the school year, my students frequently revisit and review this skill. The activities in this unit provide variety so that students don’t get burned out while practicing their coin counting skills.
