This power point contains 125 slides. It was created to help students learn coin recognition, value and equivalents. The second part of the power point helps students learn how to organize coins in order to correctly count coin amounts. Coins are animated and timing is designed to be controlled by the teacher to match skill level of the students. There are two quizzes included with answer keys provided at the end of each quiz. The various sections of the power point are color coded for quick identification.
This power point has been successfully used in both second and third grade classrooms and in individual settings. Students use actual coins or coin manipulatives to practice the skills included on the power point. Immediate feedback is provided with answers on each slide.
