I wanted to do a cute activity for thanksgiving to put in the hallway, so I searched for an idea and found a painting activity to create a turkey. I then created my own worksheet to use for my class. The kids had to use their thumb in brown paint to create the turkey body in the middle of the arches, then they had to use their pointer finger to put colorful dots along each arch. I made sure they did one color for each arch, so they did brown dots, orange dots, red dots, and yellow dots. Then I had them count how many dots they had of each color and they wrote the number and color word on each line. Finally some of the kids wrote their own sentence on the line that is on the bottom of the text box. It really came out cute and the kids were so excited to use their finger to paint. I used a black sharpie to draw legs, eyes and a beak on each turkey body.
