A jumbled up answers worksheet activity on volume. Students have to calculate the number of cubes in a set of diagrams, including some regular cuboids and some composite solids.
The answers are jumbled up at the end of the second sheet, to help students identify whether they are getting the answers correct as they work.
The worksheet progresses from very simple diagrams where students can count the cubes, to more challenging questions where they must multiply side lengths and work backwards from knowing the volume to identifying the dimensions.
Common Core: 5.MD.C.3: Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement
5.MD.C.4: Measure volumes by counting unit cubes, using cubic cm, cubic in, cubic ft, and improvised units
