Learning to count is a snap with this engaging resource that will help your students learn to count from 1-10 or 1-20! This resource also provides practice with learning to write numbers 1-10 or 1-20. There are two fun hands-on learning activities included that you can use to work with individual students or small groups. You can also use these activities as center games where students work independently or with a partner to practice counting. Your students will enjoy filling empty boxes with cupcakes as they count to the correct number! “Activity One” will work well for students who can watch you model this counting activity and then practice counting independently by filling boxes with the correct number of cupcakes. “Activity Two” will work well for students that would benefit from seeing the numbers as they count from 1-10 or 1-20. Model for the students how to complete this activity. Then give the student or students cupcakes and have them fill the boxes with cupcakes as they count with you, a partner or a parent volunteer.

These worksheets can be printed in color and added to plastic sleeves to save ink, then used as you work with individual students or small groups of students, helping them to correctly write numbers from 1-10 and 1-20. Add these worksheets to an existing math center for students to practice writing numbers from 1-10 or 1-20. Students can use a washable marker to complete these worksheets, then erase.
