Teach your kids how to count in an interesting and easy way! This is based on the Glenn Doman Dot Method of How to Teach Your Child Math.
When using object pictures for counting, kids usually associate the pictures with the numbers and cannot distinguish when presented with other pictures. For example, if you show them 10 dolls, they would associate dolls with the number 10 and not ACTUALLY learn to count.
Here, they are taught counting without the aid of any pictures and asked to concentrate and count the dots. Whether the number is 10 or 100, the pictures (the dots) remain the same.
After following this routine for a couple of months, it has been observed that the kids are actually able to count the cars on the streets from the 50th floor, as they see the cars as DOTS!
The zip file has 3 files:
1) A slideshow
Flash them the dots using the slideshow, where the stagnant red colour maintains the interest of their eyes without diverting their attention.
2) A PDF for flash cards
Alternatively, print out the black and white PDF, and flash the cards physically. The cards can be folded along the dotted lines, such that the number is pasted on the reverse side.
3) A PDF with worksheets.
