Product Description

Students in Pre-Kindergarten need to learn how to count to ten (10). Counting the numbers in their own name can encourage the skills needed such as one-to-one, as well as addition and algebra (one letter, how many more?). According to most Principal environment requirements (if following ECERS) this is another way to knock one out of the six student picture and name requirements needed within a classroom.

You can use this format, BUT, I know teachers do not have much money and purchasing ink can be an issue. I have attached a format but you can easily substitute this format for a (non-named) picture of your student adhered to a sentence strip with their written name in a colored marker. NOTE: Ensure the first letter of their name is a different color than the other letters in their name. This technique will help with first letter sounds.

If desired, you can also use this format for vocabulary words as well. This teaches students their letters, sounds in words, and counting.
