Counting Money Assessments
By: Heidi André
CCSS.Math.Content.2.MD.C.8 Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?
Included are 4 assessments for counting money (2 long, 2 short), assessment keys for all of the tests, and directions for how to analyze them and use the results. The graphics are great, very realistic. I created these additional assessments to use in my second grade class this year so I could have a variety of different ones.
Update: On 1/30/14 I added an additional sheet per test (4 total) with money word problems, as is required for the Common Core Standards. I also added another assessment key for these.
My Independent Money Counting Cards that I have available on TPT are the main leveled practice that the students do at their own level. These go along with them and are great for testing, grouping, etc. I also have leveled money counting practice sheets available, all with the same realistic graphics.
