Bee themed Counting Money to $5 Task Cards can be used with the whole class, small groups or individual students. Printing on cardstock and laminating the cards ensures that they can be used multiple times.
Cards 1-6 show dollar bills and coins totaling $5 or less. Students count the money.
Cards 7-12 give a table listing numbers of dollar bills and coins totaling $5 or less. Students calculate the total.
Cards 13-18 have a word problem involving making change for $5 or less. Students are given multiple choice answers using images of dollar bills and coins.
Cards 19-24 have a word problem involving making change for $5 or less.
Cards 25-27 compare amounts of money to $5. There is more than one right answer for each problem.
Card 28-30 students add two amounts of money shown in dollar bills and coins. The total is $5 or less.
