Counting Numbers Game: Race to 20, 50, or 100 - Hocus Pocus Fun
This Race to 20, 50, or 100 Counting Numbers Game contains 3 printable game boards for counting numbers up to 20, 50, or 100. Each board comes in both color and black lines. The game boards are ready to print and play. Print on heavy cardstock and laminate for durability.
To play the game: This game works best in small groups with 2-6 players. Choose which board to use depending on how high you want students to count. Each player will need their own board. Students take turns rolling a number cube and placing small counters on the board. The number on the cube is the number of counters added during each turn. Students start at number 1 and continue adding more counters until they reach the end of the board at 20, 50, or 100.
Tips and Ideas: Any small object can be used as a counter. Math manipulatives such as bears, chips, or coins work great. Instead of counters, try using dry-erase markers for a write-on and wipe-off activity. For a zero prep option, give students plain black and white pages to color in the squares as they go.
