Three phonemic awareness activities that teach students to segment and count phonemes in words. The first two can be taught as whole class activities and the segmenting cards can be used for differentiation/support, to introduce the activities, or as a small group intervention.
Phoneme Graphing: Students count the sounds and color the graph to show how many sounds there are in each word.
Phoneme Sorting: Students cut out the picture cards, count how many sounds in each word, and glue them in the correct box.
Phoneme Segmenting: Students segment and blend the phonemes in each word, touching the circles as they say each sound for support. 32 words included with 2, 3, 4 and 5 sounds.
Color and black and white picture cards included for the graphing and sorting activities so you can choose which to use.
Answer key also included.
