Young students will get practice in counting, number recognition, shape recognition and addition with these clothespin wheels. For a beginning level activity, students simply count the shapes in each section of the wheel. As they learn to recognize numbers, the teacher can print numerals on clothespins. Students then clip the correct clothespin to each section of the wheel for fine motor practice in addition to counting practice. Finally, as students concept of number becomes more advanced, they can move on to the addition wheel. They count the two groups of shapes, adding them together, and then clip the clothespin with the numeral that represents the answer. To use simply print on card stock, cut out and laminate for prolonged use.
