Description

Counting & Number Sense for Numbers 0-10! Do you use morning math tubs or math centers in your classroom? This set is the 1st of 10 sets that I currently have in my store. This set of morning math tub activities includes activities that reinforce counting numbers to 10. Your students will love this hands-on set of 10 morning tub activities that are offered in COLOR or BLACK & WHITE! They will count, build, and recognize numbers using hands on manipulatives! Some of the activities include ten frame counting, goldfish counting, number clipping, button counting, building number towers with cubes, building numbers with playdoh, number clip-it cards, apple tree counting, and more.

Why use morning tubs?

Morning tubs are perfect for young learners! They are independent activities that can be completed in a small amount of time as your kids are arriving in the morning. They can be completed without teacher input so that the teacher can take care of those morning tasks (attendance, lunch count etc.) There are no worksheets involved, which saves the teacher time and energy trying to get it all completed, collected, and checked first thing in the morning.

I have provided these morning tub activities in both COLOR AND BLACK AND WHITE. I have also included an instruction sheet with each activity for your kids to use as a reference. They simply look at the picture to see what to do!

Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
