Teaching Tips:

Task Cards: Draw Circles around Groups of 100

Laminate the cards and have the students draw on them to create groups of ten tens that make 100. I have the students then label the group as 100.

· Supports Common Core Math Standard 2.NBT.A.1A: 100 can be thought of as a bundle of ten tens – called a “hundred.”

· Supports Common Core Math Standard 2.NBT.A.2: Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.
