This animated, interactive PowerPoint is an engaging way for your students to practice counting, number recognition, and using ten frames.
The self-correcting feature gives supportive immediate feedback.
The student will touch or click on a numbered surfboard image on the homepage and be taken to the slide with the matching number. For ten of the slides, student will count the number of surfboards and touch or click on the answer. If the student is correct, the number they have chosen will spin and the surfer will “surf across the screen” as the student hears applause. If he is incorrect, the number he has chosen will not move, the surfer will not move and a slide with “Try Again! You’ll Get It Next Time!” will pop up.
For the other ten slides, the students will see a ten frame and a seagull. The student will touch or click on the correct number of crabs in the ten frame. If the student touches or clicks on a correct answer, the number will spin and the seagull will hop across the screen as applause is heard. If the student’s answer is not correct, the number will not spin and a slide with “Try Again, You’ll Get It Next Time” will pop up.
An optional recording sheet and answer key is provided.
